EDUCATION AND WORK

Tamar Nugis started his vocal studies in Tartu Heino Eller Music School under the guidance of Vivian Kallaste. He continued his studies in the class of Taavi Tampuu in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and graduated with a Master’s degree in 2016. In the spring of 2016, Tamar Nugis also studied in the Sibelius Academy, under the guidance of Annika Ollinkari. He has participated in German Lied masterclasses of Prof. Eva Märtson’s and Alexander Schmalcz and also in the masterclasses of Asta Krikščiūnaitė, Margarita Gruzdeva, Jenny Anvelt, Natalja Bogaleva, Peter Konwitschny, Stephan Jöris and others. Since 2020, Tamar is a soloist with the Estonian National Opera.

 

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

In 2013, Tamar Nugis won the 2nd National Singers Competition dedicated to Vello Jürna. He also received a prize in the category of “Best Song”.
