EDUCATION AND WORK

Marita Weinrank graduated from Tallinn Ballet School with a gold medal in 2016 (the class of Kaie Kõrb). In 2014–15 she participated in the courses of the Swedish Royal Ballet School, In addition, she has participated in the summer courses in Germany (2012) and Austria (2013). She joined the Estonian National Ballet at the beginning of the season 2016/17 and since autumn 2017, she is a demi-soloist.

 

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

She has been recognised with many prizes: 1st place at the International Ballet Competition in Grasse (2013), 2nd place at the International Baltic Ballet Competition IBBC (2013, Riga). As a first Estonian, she was a finalist at the Youth American Grand Prix among the top-30 within 170 participants; 4th place at the Nordic Baltic Ballet Competition (2015) among others.

 

MEMORABLE MOMENT IN BALLET

“It is very difficult to choose only one memorable moment, because every time I step on stage, it becomes special to me. I could point out Myrtha from “Giselle” and the pas de deux from “Don Quixote” that I performed at the ballet school graduation gala.”
