EDUCATION AND WORK
Gianluca Schiavoni graduated from Teatro alla Scala Academy in 1992 and joined the ballet company in the same year. Since then, has performed in classical and contemporary productions, both as soloist and principal. In 2006, he collaborated with Teatro alla Scala Academy as dance coordinator for the project “Leonardo Best”. In the same year, he graduated from La Sapienza University (Rome) in Literature and Philosophy with a major in History of Theatre and Performing Arts. Since 2006, he has dedicated himself full-time to choreography. In 2010 he became the house choreographer of Teatro alla Scala.

Gianluca Schiavoni began his artistic career at a young age in the Italian movie “Il coraggio di parlare”. For this, he received the Best Actor prize at the Giffoni Film Festival (1987).
