Cristiano Principato

EDUCATION AND WORK

Cristiano Principato finished La Scala Ballet School in Milan in 2014 as well as the Linguistic Gymnasium. His most important teachers were Frédéric Olivieri, Maurizio Vanadia, Leonid Nikonov, Paola Vismara and Tatiana Nikonova among others. He worked with La Scala Ballet as Corps de Ballet dancer and then moved to Amsterdam dancing with Het Nationale Ballet’s Junior Company for a season, before joining the main company as Élève. In the following seasons, he was promoted the rank of demi-soloist. In 2020, he joined Estonian National Ballet as a demi-soloist.

In 2017, he received the italian award “Étoile del domani”.

“A memorable moment in ballet for me is travelling internationally: Saint Petersburg (Mariinsky Theatre), Hamburg (Staatsoper Hamburg), London (Coliseum and Royal Opera House), Varna (Open Air Theatre), Madrid (Teatros Del Canal), Granada (Alhambra) and in many other countries”.
